Good ideas often come while having a sauna, and so the story of the Aino Heater began. Pertti Ratia, who loves sauna, thinks that the best way to relax at the end of the day is to have a sauna. Pertti could not understand why an electric sauna could not be as pleasantly soft as a wood stove. Many people love sauna traditions, but few have the time or opportunity to heat the wooden heated stove.
The first versions and experiments were related to auxiliary heater models, which were tested extensively. From the outset, attention was paid to energy efficiency and safety. After years of product development, a patented idea came into being where electrical resistors were placed in a separate chamber so that only the lowest stones became hot. This was significant for steam formation. The original Aino Heater was launched in 2008.
The stones, as well as the soft steam generated by them, are still at the center of the structure of the Aino Heater. After the change of generation in the company, the idea for a new heater model had long been on Perttis daughters mind. According to Johannas opinion the steam of Aino was amazing, but she felt the original design was not up to date. During 2018, the dream came true and the beautifully designed New Aino Heater was launched in summer 2019.
